To help me transition from the full-time contract work I do now to full-time crafting for a living I've signed up as an independent trader for a company called phoenix, who make beautiful cards and stuff.
The ethos fits with mine and they pay the independent artists they use well and look after them, and it'll get me out of the house!
I make cards but I can't mass-produce them and Phoenix offer extremely lovely, nicely made, ethically produced cards that fill that gap. I make about a hundred christmas cards for myself each year but just couldn't meet that demand if all my customers wanted the same! They'd be ready around Easter if they were ordered now!
